About Party Pete

One marketplace instead of nineteen browser tabs.

Party Pete started when our founder tried to book a 200-guest engagement party and ended up chasing 14 suppliers across email, DMs and voicemail. We built the thing we wanted: real availability, real prices, one contract.

Every supplier on the platform is ID-checked, insured and reviewed by people who actually booked them. Nothing is pay-to-rank.

  • Live availability calendars
  • Fixed quotes, no surprise fees
  • Deposit held until delivery
  • Insurance verified yearly
  • One run sheet, all suppliers
  • Free replacement cover
  • Human coordinator on the day
  • Reviews from verified bookings
Why Party Pete

Booking suppliers shouldn't feel like project management

Four things we do differently — and the reason 68% of our bookings come from a repeat host or their guests.

01

Vetted, not just listed

ID, ABN, insurance and two reference events checked before anyone gets a profile. We reject about a third of applicants.

02

Real availability

Calendars sync from the supplier's own diary, so the marquee you're looking at on Tuesday is still free on Tuesday.

03

One invoice, one deposit

Book eleven suppliers, pay once. Funds release after each supplier delivers, so your deposit is never floating.

04

Cover if someone drops

If a supplier cancels inside 14 days, our team sources a like-for-like replacement and we absorb the difference.

What you can book

Seven categories. Fifty-one services. Zero group chats.

From the celebrant to the CO₂ jets — every part of the day is on the same platform, with the same protections.

"

I booked a marquee, flooring, heaters and portable toilets in about twenty minutes. The bit I didn't expect: they flagged that our driveway was too narrow for the truck before the supplier did.

Our DJ pulled out nine days before the staff party. Party Pete had two replacements in the same price band by that afternoon and covered the $180 difference without me asking.

One invoice for the caterer, bar, florist and celebrant made the finance side painless. Only note: I'd have liked more vegan caterers listed in our regional area.

Jumping castle, face painter and a magician for a seven-year-old's birthday. All three arrived early, all three were on the same run sheet. That never happens.

The pyro operator handled the council permit and the exclusion zone with the venue directly. I signed one thing and it was done.

Questions

The things people ask before their first booking

Can't find it here? Our team answers most messages inside an hour, seven days a week.

No. Searching, shortlisting and receiving quotes is free for hosts, always. Party Pete earns a commission from the supplier only once a booking is completed, which is already included in the price you see.

Photo ID, business registration, current public liability insurance and two contactable references from past events. Trades that need a licence — pyrotechnics, security, food handling, electrical — must supply it before going live, and we re-check annually.

Tell us and stop chasing. We source a like-for-like replacement from the same category, and if the closest match costs more, Party Pete covers the difference up to 20% of the original quote. Your deposit is refunded in full if you'd rather cancel.

Yes. Plenty of people come for a single photographer or a jumping castle. The multi-supplier tools are there if you need them, not a requirement.

Funds are held and released to each supplier 24 hours after their part of the event finishes. If something goes wrong, raise it inside that window and the payment pauses while we look into it.

The licensed operator does, and it's included in their quote. They lodge council and venue paperwork, set exclusion zones and carry their own insurance. You'll get copies of everything in your booking file.
